CAREER
With a career stretching back to 1989, Kimiko Date-Krumm is one of the greats of Asian tennis. She has four Japan Open titles to her name and is a former World No. 4 player. She reached the semifinals at the Australian Open in 1994, Roland Garros in 1995 and Wimbledon in 1996 before announcing her retirement in 1996.
Since her comeback in 2008, Kimiko has won a number of ITF titles along with the 2009 Hansol Korea Open making her the second-oldest player to win a WTA singles title.
