Team Yonex has had an excellent start to the 2023 season, with Elena Rybakina (KAZ) winning her first WTA 1000 title in Indian Wells and Jessica Pegula (USA) taking the doubles title at the Miami Open. Now five more ambitious players have joined the Yonex roster, producing strong results with their new high-performance gear.

Three Americans, in Ben SheltonBrandon Nakashima and Jack Sock are the latest to join Team Yonex. Of the eight Americans who are in the ATP Top 50, as of Apr. 3, 2023, three play with Yonex. Magda Linette (POL) and Soonwoo Kwon (KOR) also found success and some of their best career results after switching to Yonex earlier this year.

With her run to the semi-finals of this year’s Australian Open, Magda Linette achieved her best Grand Slam result and broke into the Top 30 for the first time. “Working with Yonex is a perfect fit for me. I’m thrilled.” 

Ben Shelton (USA) | EZONE [LINK], POLYTOUR REV [LINK]

In his first trip outside of the United States, Ben Shelton reached the quarter-finals of his Australian Open debut, and has since broken into the Top 50. “I’m happy and proud to have joined Team Yonex. My partnership with Yonex will help me to push my tennis to the next level and achieve my ambitions.” 

Brandon Nakashima (USA) | EZONE [LINK]

Brandon Nakashima, a 21-year-old American and the current Next Gen ATP Finals champion, actively sought out Yonex racquets. “I’m very happy to be playing with Yonex racquets as I push myself to win more titles and move up the rankings.” 

Soonwoo Kwon (KOR) | VCORE PRO [LINK], POLYTOUR STRIKE [LINK]

Soonwoo Kwon has won two ATP singles titles, with his most recent success coming at the Adelaide 2 International in Australia. “Yonex is an iconic and innovative tennis brand and I look forward to an exciting future together.” 

Jack Sock (USA) | VCORE PRO [LINK], POLYTOUR REV [LINK]

Jack Sock holds career high rankings of World No. 8 in singles and World No. 2 in doubles. Sock is a four-time Grand Slam Doubles Champion, winning three men’s doubles titles and one mixed doubles title. “The ball speed of my prime is back and that’s thanks to Yonex. I’m excited to see what I can achieve with Yonex this season and beyond.”
